Dr. Somchai Klinnuam, IT Director of Samitivej Hospitals, has wide experience in both Surgery and Medical Information. Graduated from Faculty of Medicine, Chiangmai University in 1987. Then he got Magister degree from Thai Board of Royal College of Surgeons in 1992. Started as a general surgeon, Dr. Somchai Klinnuam also served as Hospital Director of Supamitr Sena Hospital from 1997-2009. Since that he understood how huge the impact could information technology bring to healthcare system in Thailand. Therefore he received Certificate of Introduction to Biomedical and Health Informatics, and committed to facilitate the informatization and digitalization in hospitals and hope one day this change can help more patients.
